Jefferson Elementary School (JES) would like to recognize their new Head Custodian Tonya Ricter.  Tonya has been with at Jefferson for seven months.  In that time she has developed relationships with students and staff.  She has contributed to "The Jefferson Way" by reinforcing and supporting positive lunch room behavior. Her effectiveness has been seen and felt by the district, in particular, the conscientious way she assisted with the district-wide professional development workshop on culturally responsive pedagogy.  Over 100 teachers attended the workshop and Tonya made sure everyone had the tools they needed to make it a successful day.
