Talented and Gifted Services in the School District of Janesville

TAG Advocates

In order to better serve our population of Talented and Gifted (TAG) Students in the School District of Janesville, several staff hold the position of TAG Advocate.  TAG Advocates at each school help with the identification process, parent communication, and teacher support.  Each elementary school in Janesville has a TAG Advocate for students in grades K-2, as well as one for students in grades 3-5.  Each middle school has one TAG Advocated per grade level, and each high school has one TAG Coordinator.

When students are nominated for TAG Identification, either by teachers, a parent, or themselves, the TAG Advocate helps guide staff through the process.  Once a student is identified, the TAG Advocate acts as a parent liaison and supports teachers in differentiation strategies to meet the student’s needs.
