What's Right in the School District of Janesville

What’s Right in the School District of Janesville (SDJ) is a forum to recognize outstanding performances and achievements by SDJ employees, students and schools.

What is new at Adams Elementary School?

Adams had a fabulous turnout (328 people) at the St. Patrick’s Day dance. Students and parents enjoyed music, dancing, stories and refreshments. A great time was had by all!

Adams held their Annual Staff versus 5th Grade Students Volleyball Game in March. This event is a great community building activity for the entire school!

The Adams Elementary School Eagle Club held a food drive for E.C.H.O. from March 13--March 22. They collected 193 non-perishable food items; exceeding their goal of 150 items by 43!

Harrison Elementary School Staff Recognizes One of Their Own

The Harrison staff would like to commend Tami Burke and student council for their efforts to raise money to “Create a World Free of MS”. With Mrs. Burke’s guidance, the student council is selling orange polka dots (orange is the MS awareness color) after school for $1 apiece. The money will be donated to the National MS Society in honor of our second grade teacher, Linda Madarik. For every $50 raised, our fourth grade teacher Chris Kohn has volunteered to play one song in a concert on May 2.

Kennedy Elementary Says “Thank You”

Kennedy Elementary School would like to thank New Life Church for donating $200 towards clothing and school supply needs for Kennedy students.
